Overview

Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) is also known as ‘amrita’ in Ayurveda. True to its name, it is like an elixir that can cure many diseases besides rejuvenating a person. It is wonderful when it comes to curing different types of fevers. It is a Rasayana and builds up immune system of the body and assists in scavenging free radicals. It is beneficial in metabolic disorders such as diabetes and hyperuricemia. It takes a high place in Ayurveda as it is the drug of choice for ‘Vatarakta’ (Comparable to gout).
